November Pack Meeting –What a great job the scouts did
creating their rockets! And we send a big thank you to all the parents of
Dens 1 and 2 for their hard work setting up the track, and for their
commitment getting the rockets to blast for us! We would also like to thank Troop
111 for providing concessions for us – the baked goods were so delicious! Cubmaster Don is very pleased to
see all of you so proudly wearing your Class A uniforms and displaying your
achievements! 16 new scouts earned their Bobcat
Badge! Thank you, Amy, for the time you
have committed to Friends of Scouting. Families, please remember to turn your
pledge cards in to Amy Gelhorn by December. Thank you! And thank you to Todd Weigand and
Liz Tremblay for working together to make our scout credits and camp payments
easy to understand. Wreath Sales Great Job, Scouts! Our Pack had
more than $23,000 in wreath sales. Here are our top 5 sellers: Congratulations! 1st: Brett B 2nd: Nate O. 3rd: Conrad H. 4th: 5th: Andrew C. Just a Few Pack T-shirts Left! There are just a few of the adult sizes left – look for more
information on a new design in the spring! RECALL! Please continue turning in the
Wolf/Bear Progress Towards Rank totems to Kristen VanDyke for replacement.
New totems will be available soon! |
BALOO Trained Leader Needed: Do you love camping? Then this is
for you! The Pack always needs a BALOO
trained leader in attendance when the pack is camping. Our BALOO trained leaders are moving on to Boy Scouts in February!
The Pack is looking for 2 or 3 parents willing to take this fantastic training
so that the Pack can continue to enjoy our great campouts. Please contact
Cubmaster Don to learn more about BALOO (Basic Adult Leader Outdoor
Orientation) and when it is offered. Computer Projection Screen - The Pack is looking for a computer
projection screen for our annual Join Scouting Nights and Pinewood Derbies.
We only need to borrow this 2 times a year! Please contact Cubmaster Don if
you know of a resource we can use. Pack Storage Needed - Storage is needed for the Pack’s
Pinewood Derby track. This item has
been in our newsletter for many months. We really need to work together to find a solution to this problem!!
Please contact Don or Kathy Baklund for info. Thank you to Todd Swedberg for
storing the Space Derby track! Leadership Opportunities – 3 very important Pack positions
need to be filled! Please consider assisting the Pack as either Committee Chairperson or Cubmaster. These are positions that
are required for the Pack – and both are very
rewarding! Committee Chair needs to be filled by February 2008
– sooner would give the new chairperson time to work with Debbie before she
leaves - her son crosses to Boy Scouts in February. Cubmaster needs to be filled ASAP so Don can
step down to Assistant Cubmaster and enjoy being “just a dad” for his son’s
crossing over at Blue and Gold Banquet. Assistant
Cubmaster(s) are
needed to help the Cubmaster bring more fun and games to our scouts! Please contact Debbie or Don to
learn more!
See the attached flyer for
